Not much need for that, the cops will investigate it regardless with it being a police collision. There's a black box in the car that records EVERYTHING including whether he had sirens on, speed, g force on the bend etc, etc.
I'm pretty sure you'll hear about it within a week or two.
If they didn't give you a log number at the time, phone up sharpish and ask for it. That way you can keep track of any progress. And its just unlucky that you were on your test. Glad to hear your ok though
