Enamel baths and tcut

If you get it re-enameled it will be enamel paint which is like tile paint, looks good for a while but scratches and fades so unless its a fancy Victorian cast bath, a new bath is the answer or get it re-enameled if there's anyone still doing it? (take bath out, shotblast old enamel off put in furnace through powdered glass on etc.) sounds expensive does it not?
