To protect my hearing I've been wearing ear plugs since I started riding. I have found however that I'm unsure they're doing their job. Yes they reduce the noise level but it still becomes reasonably loud white noise that I can hear for a long period after getting off the bike.
So I'm toying with the idea of headphones and low music. Yes I know plenty of you don't wear ear plugs and plenty of you hate the idea of music, if so this isn't the topic for you.
My query is this: does anyone know if the varying pitch of music is more likely to reduce tinnitus than white noise ?

Opinions are like A**holes, Everyone has one. Some people seem to have more than one though which is a bit odd.
