What can I clean this staining off with..?
#21
Went back today and as predicted the son of the owner got all aggressive and started shouting saying it was my fault.... After wasting my time trying to talk some sense into him, another guy interrupted the proceedings (one of the owners of the business) and he fessed-up and confirmed it WAS traffic film remover! After a quick chat with him he told me the main boss was at the other car wash place so off I went.

Long story short, I explained there are now only two options try cut or get replacement covers. We tried a bit of original t-cut (red cap) on it and we couldn't tell for sure if it helped, so I said I would try some t-cut myself and if this didn't work we agreed I would go back and could come an arrangement which in this instance is half the cost of what second hand covers of ebay would cost.

I them popped of to Halfords and borrowed some brake cleaner and a rag and cleaned the area where the guy had rubbed some t-cut to clean of the shine and one of the most noticable dribble stains appears to be gone! So I bought some black colour-match t-cut and some back-to-black for the pastics and will have a go on Sunday.

Watch this space.
