You're probably right noggy and yeah I don't like riding the clutch particularly it's not how I ride, of course at times like slow speed maneuvers it can come in handy but I personally don't like it. Well I guess its something that I will have to accept, I have tried getting used to it and it is one of those things that has always bugged me but the good far outweigh the bad so I'll just have to take it as one of those things, it's barely noticeable anyway.
As for reach I have quite big hands so thats not really the issue I don't think, although I would like to try out some short levers to see the difference too. Roadcraft nottingham, someone I watch alot on youtube, has them on a few bikes and when he's changing gear it looks super slick which they probably play a fair part in. The levers the guy put up the other week were surprisingly cheap too.
It actually still pulls pretty cleanly at like 1500-2000 rpm with the clutch out as well in 1st if you're very gentle with the throttle control so I usually just do that rather than ride the clutch and keep having to fart about with pulling away.
