I had a problem a bit like this when I got mine new in 2001 but mainly with vibration in the throttle hand.


I felt like I was always pushing myself back on the seat (seat slopes towards the tank).


I ended up having the seat re-shaped in 2003 (seat now rises up as it meets the tank) and the problem immediately disappeared.


The bikes now done 69,000 miles.
