I bought one last year after all the raving on here (and it comes in a nice little tin), and its no louder than the standard farty thing. Internet forums, not always full of good advice  :rolleyes .

I did exactly the same cos of that thread, but still haven't got around to fitting it!
Guess I won't bother now  at least its a job I can cross off my to do list!
But the tin is great, currently keeping all my screwdriver bits in one place
