I already get an email from Hyperspin (see bottom of this page: http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php?action=stats) if the site is down for an hour, or rather it polls hourly and emails me if it's down. So yesterday I was able to email the host and say Our site has been down since before..., even though I was asleep when it happened.
