The Haynes manual says "No load regulated voltage 14.7v at 5000 r.p.m."
Yamaha manual says "No load regulated voltage 14.1 - 14.9v"
Mine shows 14.6 on my digital meter with no load. Can't remember what it was with the lights on but probably a bit less. As BBrown points out we don't know just how accurate these meters are, but as far as we can tell it looks like your bike is fine.
I'm not an expert on this but I remember something about lead-acid batterys start to gas above 14.4 volts and above 14.8 volts is getting too high. The other snippet is that AGM (absorbed glass matt) batterys should not be charged above 14.7 volts.
