Thanks for the advice men. I got it put back on after a lage amount of swearing, and a small amount of logical thinking ! I loosely cable tied where the rear of the the down pipe bolts to the frame, this gave me the aproximate angle it should go in at. As it turns out they had warped a fraction, but a trusty old hammer handle helped persuade them in to place by eeking them apart slightly. Once you get one bolted in the rest you can gently persuade. I took the the bike for a quick spin over the mountain (I live in the Isle of Man
) to get them warmed up and help cure the high temp. paint. Nothing fell off and the bike ran perfectly, no more popping when you come off the throttle because of the holes in the balancers.
