Sharp pair of wire cutters then a quick and gentle rub down with wet and dry to smooth it off - a file may be a bit too rough handling for it, I couldn't tell how much stick the switch would take( it appears to be made of a hard plastic ), and remember a bit at a time you can always take more off but you cant put it back on - as my old metal work teacher used to tell me
