You are probably right in terms of cost - certainly for restoring the entire bike. But my money will reflect exactly what I am able to do. At the end of the day, this is a hobby and plenty of people stuff lots more money into seemingly crazy things by comparison for no return other than entertainment. At the end of this, I get a bike

If I end up just restoring the engine to replace my existing one then the costs are a lot lower I think than buying a new engine.
