You can check EXUP movement by removing the cover and watching the pulley move. Also check adjustment by rotating the pulley fully clockwise (ignition OFF) and then turning the ignition on. Pulley should return to the parked position with fork on the pulley aligned with the hole in the end plate.
The 2 allen bolts on the far side hold the plate which covers the EXUP bush on that side. That's all.
