Don't think the clamps are removable .. like you, I can't see a way of getting them over the flared end of the header pipe.
I've re-used the original exhaust gaskets on mine for years with no leaks.
Replace the studs and nuts if they're badly corroded. If not, clean and copper grease and call it good.
