Its mechanical interference.
Because the camera has a cmos sensor, if you vibrate the camera body at the multiple of the recording framerate, you get this waveyness. I suspect if I rubber mounted it then the wavey ness would go away.
Mounting it on your lid solves this becuase it doesnt vibrate like the bike does
. To be fair though it doesnt bother me, the cameras are mainly for proving right and wrong in an accident.
