charging problem
#5
ok thanks guys.

the readings i took were on idle. i dont think it is the volt meter, i use it on my other bike and seems fine.

I kind of do have starting problems  :o i only ride the bike once every 10 - 20 days, but the battery is always charged (optimate) before i go out. i hit the start and she turns over well but wont catch for a while, the longer you leave it the worse. So if i dont ride for 10 days it might take a few hits of the starter, if i dont ride for 20 days it will take a few more hits of the starter.

ive put this down to stale fuel in the float bowls, possibly making the carbs a little gummy?? bought some Redex the other day, to be fair i reckon the carbs need a full strip down and clean (thats a job ive never done it before though  :o )

As stated above i thought on tick over it should be around 13v. i will try reving to 3K and 5k and see what happens.........watch this space.

thanks
