But to get back to the OT, I am a paramedic currently on third night of four, and it's been BUSY!!! I'm on here now trying not to fall asleep for the last 2 hours of the shift, or before the next job comes in, which ever is soonest...
Chris, I have a lot of contact with your people in this part of the world, usually a nice polite lot
. How does it work in Shetland with ambulances and suchlike? Is there anything on the island, or do they get flown in? I guess people in your area are a lot more self-reliant than here; only last night we had someone call us because he had a head cold and blocked sinuses and said he couldn't breathe. Which he could. And someone else who had seen doctors and consultants and surgeons and hadn't been made better, so called us because he wanted an injection to cure him :rolleyes .
Anyhow, mustn't grumble :lol . Do you find on a night shift that sometimes it will go really quickly even though you may not be very busy? And other times it can go on for what seems like days even if theres a lot going on?
