Thats a good point. I was lucky and had a 1 to 1 but a mate of mine ran the courses. ( the 1 to 1 wasn't with him btw) It would be wothwhile checking that you are being paired up with someone of similar skill if you can. They should be able to at least get a rough match. I think it is worth knowing this if anyone is planning on going on a bikesafe course in the future.
