I have spent my last few quid on it, pissed off now, wel end can came loose again, and I'd say plug caps need replacing but motor is perfect, the guy done a leak down test and he said it was as good as any race bike,

I don't really wana name names or point fingers but he was a cowboy and I think ill stay away from now on, he just wants to do race bikes and that's all I think he has ever done,

He didn't even balance the carbs, he just brought me in, revved it and said that sounds better doesn't it? Like wtf??? I could have just went out and bought a new set myself the twat!

Ah feck it, ill only enoy myself, I have her back with plenty of go in it and I'm ready to hit the road, oh wait no I can't, reason 1 it's snowing, and reason 2 it's gona be -5 tonight so even if I did go out my carbs would freeze up. :groan

Could you rig up a hairdyer pointing at your carbs for the cold mornings!  mash


I didn't really want his name....but he is a Cowboy. You didn't ask for major parts to be fitted and you certainly didn't ask for major parts to be hacked off your bike. He should have ran it by you first. At least when I got my Bandito done for a robbing 300 bucks, I got what I asked for and more. He squeezed an extra 4 horses out of it on the Dyno and she ran sweeter coming out than when she went in. Even if the bike ran shite afterwards, I would still have wanted a dyno done with a print out with before and after results. That is what I went there for. Sure you could have bought another set of carbs and saved yerself about 200 bucks and done what he done yerself. But at least now you know that you will probably need to look beyond your carbs. I doubt if you have two lemon set of carbs on the bike.
