I'm loving it, just stripped both down, cleaned and regreased all the gears and ball raced throughout (Aint ball race bearings cheaper than they used to be, did both cars for £20 using ABEC9 rated bearings
) Also fitted a ESC and 15T motor to the TL-01. Wear & Tear & Storage has taken its toll on the TA-02 so just searching the net for a few parts and awaiting delivery of the new radio gear.
My other half has a Nitro 4WD (Although with a shaft missing to the front wheels, so just 2WD) that I have no idea about, Ive looked around the net and think (but probably wrong lol) HPI RS4 with a Dodge Viper Shell. My other halfs Dad gave it to her a few years ago when she was with her ex, but from what I can see, her ex took some bits like the glowplug starter, so at the mo, its sitting in a box awaiting attention!!!
The best thing about this is at the moment, it gives me and my step-son something to do together, and from there, if he keeps interest and is pretty good, then I may see if he wants to attend a club. The downside of Autism is he has very little social skills, and introducing him him to new people, can be hard on him, very tiring, which is a crying shame, because once you get to know him, he is a smashing kid who will do anything that he can to help regardless if there is a reward or not. Love him to bits, and wouldnt change him, so this is a positive step forward at the moment.
I do like the look of that Snapper, Ill post picture's when I figure out how lol
