FZS1000 2002 model Rev Needle "jumping"

Hi guys, i had over-hauled means that i left my bike @ workshop with the mechanic to change all parts & components in the engine into new (cam-rods, seals, O-rings etc). That's the definition i used in my area (no offence to others)....definitely not lay-up.
i believe my mechanic did disconnect the speed sensor & EXUP valve but not the TPS as mentioned above. Will ask him to check again. But wanna ask again the meter is not faulty right?
