I think a little bit more clarification on what you mean by 'overhaul' is needed ??

During your 'overhaul' , have you had the speedo sensor or throttle position sensor disconnected ?

I shouldn't start to panick just yet. The sequence your rev counter is going through is just informing you that something requires attention. As stated, from the very helpful table above it could be either the 'Speedo sensor' or 'Throttle Position Sensor' as that seems to be what your revs are indicating.
