If you're near anyone on here then someone might come give you a hand with it. I've never done the valve clearances but i'm sure it's just a follow the steps and be sensible and methodical about it. The haynes manual is your friend in this case 
Having said that, if you can live with it until you've moved house then I'd wait. If the bike needs money spent on it or takes ages to get the work done then it'll be a right pain when you don't have any extra time or funds to spare. Might as well wait till you have the time to devote to it. 8)
