One of the best mods you can do to the bike is to 'Ivanise' it by the way. And of you have a K&N plus aftermarket can you really should. The 'fully monty' Ivan's kit include a wee mod for the airbox so it'll flow more air with a free flow filter like your k&n.
now i'm confused. i'm gettin told one thing by the dyno boys @ pole position on the highway in london and somethin different here. i have not fitted my K&N air filter and put it for sale on here due to confusion. i have an S&P end can and the carbs were tuned by the last owner to the can. it runs v well with good consumption. so without ivanising the bike r u saying dont bother with K&N?
