I live reasonably close , in rugby. A favourite run is the loop from market harborough up to melton via uppingham and back. Can be a bit hairy due to so many junctions and blind corners, but a superb bit of road all the same.
I like uppingham as it has a ducati dealership and the tucker wagon does very nice sausage sarnies .
on a weekend it can get quite busy.
