Somehow it seems like a complex way of doing it, you'd think that they could just separate the Factory bikes from the crt bikes for practice with a final qualifying session based on 107% time entry qualification for final practice for places on the grid - for instance. I'm not saying that this is any better that just straightforward open qualifying and practice but it seems simpler than the one that is the new system. I'm a great believer in keeping things simple - as I can just about follow things then
