Won a Spanish GP on a Ducati the year Hayden won his championship - by a good margin. He did that as a one off ride when he was in WSBK so he could ride ok.....impressive when all the others had a season on their machines and he didn't.
In my opinion (for what its worth) the ducati doesn't seem amenable to being adapted to the rider, rather the rider has to adapt to the bike to get the best out of it which I think is what stoner realised so he did well on it...
