For what its worth Les talk about the trip down to Dover being soul destroying :rolleyes l ve done fast/cruise ferries Poole - Cherbourg , cruise ferry Dover - Calais/Dunkirk and the Plymouth-Santander overnight ferry, never do that 24 hrs route again ! Now that is soul destroying and mega boring, l d much rather pay more for petrol n digs, choose a scenic route through France than sail to Santander again and hey theres some great roads down to Dover onto the Eurotunnel and hey no hassle, cheap n easy to get into Europe that way
