The new system is a damned sight better than the old one now they offer courses for first time 'offenders'. But whatever you do, don't refuse the course, as you won't get offered another one. There's about 3 or 4 different courses, and they all get recorded through DVLA. If you refuse one, that's it, straight to the NIP, or even court hearings where the magistrate can offer more than 3 points for the offence, and heftier fines.
