you should check for the second gear problem. 1st to 2nd on the fazer can be a bit rough and that's fairly normal, with a bit of practice you get the feel for the gear change but it shouldn't hop out of gear. go 1st to 2nd and then accelerate hard in 2nd and see if it jumps out of gear. if it does that's a fairly big problem and you should walk away. other things to check would be if the rear caliper sticks, they have problems because brake dust builds up in them and causes them to seize. its not a major problem but its something to check. check the exhaust. if it's the original then check for rust as they do rot. depending on the mileage check if the valve clearances have been done. after that it's all the usual stuff to check
