after further investigation you are right and the rubber flaps should be directly in front of the spark plugs.
I now think I know exactly why my bike was misfiring.
the engine drain holes are probably bunged up with gunge and therefore there was so much rain the other day, the water was not clearing from the top of the engine and building up and arcing on my plug caps,
so tomorrow Christmas day I will check my drain holes are clear
can you tell me if they are easy to see and locate and how many drain holes there should be, thanks in anticipation
