side stand awkwardness

It's not as bad to get the stand down with my waterproof boots but it's a right pain up the arse with racing boots.

Exactly the same for me. No problems with my Goretex all weather boots but a right pain when in my Sidi race style boots which have fin like appendages on the heel. An extension to the stand seems like the best solution. As stated a bit of stiff hose would do but look crap. A piece of black painted suitably sized steel tubing with a welded end might do the job and look better.
