is there a way to adjust the gears?
#10
Fazerrider is correct, I misread the initial post as the corrective procedure I explained is more common.
Linkage wear or problem with slelector shaft springs is the most likely cause. Luckly both are accessible with engine in place, particularly if it is changing up is the problem rather than changing down.
Did it happen suddenly? If so then it is most likely something has broken and since all gears are selectable it is most likely a spring on the selector shaft.
There are 2 shift lever springs you will need to check
Check wear in the linkage first remove sprocket cover to see if everthing is all right in there and finally as Fazerrider said remove the clutch cover and check selector shaft at the bottom end of the clutch. You will have to remove the clutch to do a full inspection .
