To route the cable across my front would be a pain when taking jacket off - unzip, then pull cable out of way/over head. I'd be threading the cable down my right arm everytime I put the jacket on.

I was thinking by routing around my back, I can leave the cabling in place in my jacket, thus just stick arms in, zip up, plugs gloves in, then plug control box in. However, going round back, the cable from my right hand to control box near left thigh is only just long enough. The weight of the control box often tugs the right hand cable up my sleeve (when glove not plugged in) and the control box falls to the middle of my back. I guess if I tack it all in (safety pins etc) it should be fine.
