I seem to remember David Icke saying something similar. The problem with this sort of paranoid conspiracy theory stuff is that none of it is really based on hard evidence, just a bonkers interpretation of events.
Also, people with power and shady political ambitions don't have a monopoly on brilliant ideas/inventions y'know. Some of us normal folk outside the military etc do come up with great inventions and technology all the time and we don't usually get kidnapped by MI5 before we can tell the rest of the world.
I used to be a patent 'bonded' draughtsman years ago, I've drawn one or two curious things over the years, some with a military bent - and I'm still here.
