When the old phone didn't work, I tried it in the test socket, it didn't work. I assumed the phone was broken as Southern has said there was no fault on the line. So I bought a new phone, and this does not work on the test socket either.
So now the question is, if the fault is the socket, I'm guessing I need someone inĀ to fix it at a cost? Or if the fault is on the line (Which runs from and to?) the supplier needs to pick up the bill? Thanks.
