I've got acerbis dual road guards. They come with a kit which includes what I can best describes as an anchor bolt. Slide it inside the handlebar, tighten and the bolt pulls a wedge inside the insert and opens it out, making it tight inside the handlebar.
Shouldn't need new rubbers or clips

If theyre anything like the Honda ones the rubbers get destroyed while removing and need to be replaced.. They also have some small metal clips that need to be replaced too..
