I've used part worn tyres and brake pads on a 300bhp car, even on track they were fine. Better than the Goodyear F1s that I'd had previously as they started to melt :eek . As far as the tyres go they were £100 per pair fitted with ~75% left... new they'd be £130 for the fronts, £190 for the rears.
