First dissapointment with the fazer..
#3
Hi Budgie, can happen to any of us mate, not the Fazers fault is it?
Brake cleaner is good, but you can't beat a strip and proper clean, fairly easy too and if it ain't too bad and your seals are good, you don't need to pop the pistons all the way out.  Squeeze 'em outward with summat inbetween, perhaps  a single one of the pads perhaps when the caliper's off the disc. Use an old toothbrush to clean around the pistons, use the brake cleaner then smear a little silicone grease with the tootbrush again around the clean pistons.  Not too much now, don't wanna contaminate your pads now do we?
As to getting the wheel off, check spark plug spanners in any socket set you have, 'cos many are fitted with a 19mm hex just like mine which fits perfect!  All you do then is fit an extension through the plug socket itself (reverse like) and you can undo the wheel.  Simples?  Does that sound right?  :rolleyes
And guessing you ain't got access to a car?  I'd never trust spanner monkeys with the proper retensioning of the chain on my Fazer 'cos of it's long run and known issues on bearings with overtightening - take the wheel off yourself and put it back on yourself - it's the only way you know it's done proper!  Wink
IF IT AIN'T BROKE, FIX IT 'TILL IT IS.
