I live near near Fareham, Hampshire. A lot of our new neighbours are on talktalk as well. Apparently they have just had new equipment in the local exchange which has resulted in excellent speeds (internet - not bike! 
).
In the past I have had several occasions to phone up their help line and have very good service there too.
(I'm not getting paid to say this!!!!)
