Yes Dave48, it surely will be £1.50 soon (or £149.9).  And I'd never even thought about those prices being illegal - I'm sure you're right!

Went in Tesco's a while back and unknown to me I'd pumped £20.01p by mistake. I handed the woman on the till a twenty I had ready and she said;  'Another 1p please" In some garages they have a box on the counter for random coins to cover this sort of thing but Tesco don't. Well I fecked and faffed about trying to find some change in my waterproofs and eventually gave her a 2p piece to which she said;

"Well a penny seemed so important a minute ago so yes I'd better have it." I said.


She looked at me in disgust and said "A simple yes would have sufficed"
