You're on the wrong site if you think you can come on here, get all evangelical on us and not expect a poke in the ribs in return.

A quick example of how things are sold to you for one thing that are actually intended for another. Anyone hear mention of a cashless society? The talk promotes this as a great thing for the future, no cash means no muggings etc, never be caught short of money again as it will all be done via microchip. It will be simpler for you (these things are always done - for you) they say.

Yes, let's examine the reality. More and more shops that I go in are no longer accepting cards as payment because the banks are charging them too much. So rather than less cash, I'm having to carry *gasp* more cash.

You may also like to note, just for the record, that I haven't actually disagreed with anything in your earlier posting. All I've done is take the piss out of someone taking themselves too seriously. If you can't handle that without alluding to non-existant children and mind-numbing TV (neither of which I subscribe to btw) then you should get yourself a blog with a self-contained fart-o-matic air re-purifier.
