what's the longest you've owned a bike for?

It just dawned on me that I've had another bike sat in the garage for FOUR years now and have only done about 40 miles on her  :lol :rollin :lol

I bought an old knackered SuperDream as a winter project to keep me from rotting in front of the telly (and as a trip down memory lane). Lack of motivation meant it took rather longer than expected to complete - in fact, it's still not finished because there's some annoying low-rev fuelling issues that continue to plague me. She passed her MOT and I've had her up to 80 on the M61. Absolutely gutless and heavy, but still brought a smile to my face.
