Reassuring to know a bit more and I'm pleased to hear that yer maun is up to snuff with the Ivanising. It's just that most installation cock-ups seem to occur in professional workshops.
Looking at the second photo it looks like the retaining clamp was tightened while misaligned. Might have been like that from the factory but more likely the carbs have been disturbed at some time since. Either way, sensible to change it out for a new part.
