In the seven and half years the bike has lived outside and been ridden through winter and with the exception of routine maintenance i haven't spent a penny on it or even had a advisory on an M.O.T.

It's mighty close to being as good a motorcycle as a fzs600 fazer.

Without doubt the best £1000 i ever spent on a motorcycle and it's still going strong and looking good.
When my GPz305 destroyed its engine in 1995 I was split between a CB500 and a GPZ500... had the faired version of the Honda been around I'd probably still be riding it now. IIRC the CB500 had a design life of 200,00 miles.
As it was, the Kawasaki was good, but too vibey and unreliable so I part ex'd it after 38,000 miles for the Fazer.
