In June, just before a ride to the south of France from Edinburgh, I decided to fit a Digi to my 8. I bought it from a company on the internet bought asked my local Yamaha Dealer to fit it. The bike is still under warranty and I did not want to mess with the loom! The dealor did not have a wiring diagram for the 8 and after contacting Digi got very little help. Eventually they gave up and I returned the unit to the supplier asking them to confirm it was OK? It turned out that it was faulty. I personally would only never bother with them again for this reason. The dealer wanted £300 for his wasted time but we settled on half. Still a wasted £150. Digi do not have any responsibilitiy for the fitting. My advice is that if you are thinking of a gear change indicator then stick with a plug type connection not a wire only type! If the vehicle is still under warranty then buy the unit from the dealer and get him to fit it! To be truthful, I haven't missed it!
