Yes, it's a pretty economical bike to run (unless you write for a bike magazine), but it's hard to get an accurate figure over that short a distance... variations in when you notice the fuel light come on or a slight difference in where you fill to has a big effect.
Like many on here I've taken to using the Fuelly website. I use the rolling last-ten-fill-ups figure as a guide to the current fuel consumption... over that sort of distance the individual variations average out nicely. With the "chart all fuelups" graph you can see the difference temperature makes over the course of a year.
