Well I have to say I find it a bit bewildering how it looks to you, because as far as I can tell I haven't tried to invalidate anyone's perspective, I just commented from my own.
By my calculations I would have been spending roughly £1800 a year on fuel, now it's more like £2400, so in percentage terms, my fuel costs have increased by 33% and that sort of rise is going to affect pretty much everyone.
