What makes you say that the chain deffinately needs changing? Thanks for the additional advice, I'm deffos not going to rush into it, done that too many times with cars!!

Also, what kinda mileage should I be considering an upper limit? I'm going to be doing about 1200 a month commuting and want to keep it for a year / 18 months if possible.
