 I really wanted the triple to live up to all the glowing 'best real-world engine' tributes it receives, particularly from the Brit bike press (understandable jingoism, of course).  In reality, I didn't feel the punch expected off the bottom end nor the much-vaunted mid-range.  To me, both 1050 triples I rode felt wooffly and slightly flabby - powerful enough but lacking edge, if I can put it that way.
